A family member of mine wants to go on a road trip from PA all the way down to Las Vegas. She and her husband with another couple are planning it for in the summer so they have a while before they go. I am wondering if there is a good route to take to see cool stuff along the way.

I don't really know the area too well. My husband and I are up north (North Dakota) so I don't know where the best place would be to start out or which roads to take to make the most of things.

What states would they be looking at driving through?
That is a factor in what you can see and do along the way. Do they have a set timeframe for each state or a schedule to make it on time in Vegas?
