Just curious if anything is happening during my husband and I's stay this year. We have some things booked but I know we will have some downtime so if we can find any free shows or anything worth checking out, I would like to.

Free shows? I don't know if you can expect to see any free shows around that time. You can walk around the city and find some fun attractions, but I don't know about any free shows.

The closest you will come to a free show is dining at a restaurant where there is a live band, open mic, or art display. I have never known any outright free shows. As mentioned, there are free attractions everywhere if you don't mind walking or driving around to get to them.
