Should you bring anything for self defense?

I doubt anything bad happens often with tourists to Vegas, but you can never be too safe after all. So the next time I travel to Vegas, I will be bringing pepper spray. I feel that is enough to stay safe, especially if you're with a group of friends, which I plan to do.
