I am by no means a gambler but I am curious if there are any stats on this. I feel like jackpots in Vegas don't happen as often as people seem to think. Like all those people playing the machines, I feel like maybe only one or two per casino hit a massive jackpot a day.
I don't think there is a way to really say how common they are because it depends on what you are playing and where you are playing. Different casinos have different odds and different options.
Someone once told me that a jackpot hits somewhere in Vegas every 20 minutes. The jackpot size depends on the bet so if you are only doing a 10 cent slot machine, a jackpot on there would be like $500. They are not always HUGE wins but rather higher multipliers
To my knowledge, jackpots aren't as often as one would hope. But, it probably depends on the casino and the the machine you're using.
