Yeah just use the app to check-in if it is an option. It makes things easier when you arrive to your spot. Most people use apps these days when it comes to booking and checking in/out of places.

Very few areas require them, most recommend them, no places really enforce it. Unless you go into a smaller shop, like mentioned a jeweler or something, you will likely just be treated as normal.
