I did a search and saw a post saying the CDC recommends not doing any non-essential travel for the time being. I hate having to wait to travel to Vegas, but is it recommended there too? I want to travel to Vegas soon, but if there is a chance I shouldn't I will wait a while yet.

Travel for vacation would probably be classified as non-essential. Traveling for the care of family would be considered essential

It seems to be so. I'm waiting to travel at the moment. Even though you can, they recommend you don't. At least not yet. I am fully vaccinated, but there is still a chance I could catch it, and transmit it to others. And I don't want to do that.
