I am referring to alcoholic beverages. I expect them to be more because of the area and given that public spaces for drinking always charge more but a lot of people seem to think they are the most expensive in Las Vegas compared to any other place in the US. This can't be true, is it?
I wouldn't say so! I would argue the opposite. A lot of places will offer $1 beers and free drinks for casino players though many argue they are paying with their gambling. You can get drinks at places like Denny's for cheap, assuming they still serve alcoholic drinks there (I think they do). You pay the most at nightclubs which are extremely overpriced in most states in America.
It is a mix. Knowing when to drink, where to drink, and what to drink helps you save a lot of money. You can check drink deals online prior to planning your day in Vegas and go according to drink prices at different events, hotels, and casinos.
The most expensive bud light I have ever had was in Las Vegas. I was playing slots at the MGM Grand and one of the waitresses came by to ask for drinks. I was about to leave but figured why not get a beer for the road. So I ordered a bud light and proceeded to play the game. It took a while for the waitress to get back and in that time I had dumped about $750 in the game. I tipped the waitress a $5 and so I would estimate that bud light cost me $755. Very expensive!

Hahaha, right! You sit there thinking the free flowing alcohol is amazing, you look around and you're down a couple of hundred dollars.
