I see a lot of people adding it to the worst lists in terms of where to stay in Vegas. I thought this was a great hotel with a fun theme. A family member went there a while back and said he loved it. I was considering staying here but now I am not so sure.
I'm not seeing a super low rating. It's more around 3 1/2 rating on Bing. Yes I use Bing lol. But seriously I went there a few years back and I enjoyed it. Wasn't a bad experience for me. I just think those people putting out reviews, expect the best experience ever, and sometimes that's not happening.
Circus Circus is an older property and they have not always kept up with the latest changes across the strip. To give some perspective, Circus Circus opened in 1968 while the Encore Casino (just across the street) was opened in 2008. I left out the Sahara Casino because it while it was opened in 1952... it has changed looks 5-6 times since then while Circus Circus has for the most part looked the same in the past 50 years.

Yeah, when I see that rating, I don't consider that really low. But, it's not great either, because they do have some poor reviews, and a lot of them seem fair. I will have to check it out myself one of these days.
