Are there any abandoned towns in Vegas that people can visit and see? Something like ghost towns where they used to be populated, but now no longer house any living people. Is there anything like this in Vegas or near it?

Not that I am aware of. I mean the strip is pretty packed in. I bet if you drive around outside the area, you will see some. I have just never gone outside of Las Vegas when visiting for anything other than the Grand Canyon.

Rhyolite is the one I have seen most people visit and post pictures on Instagram.  However, I found that there are 5 ghost towns near Las Vegas.  Nelson, St. Thomas, Calico, and Gold Point are all within driving distance.  I have not been to any though.

I was going to mention Calico. That is the only one I had been to. I mean it is not my thing, the group I was with wanted to go and they seemed to enjoy it. I was just there to laugh at them being scared of everything. lol
