I thought I was very excited and disappointed with my wife's surprise 50th birthday booking o See o 2 bedroom tower suite not available or at least not appearing on the website for those dates, is it common not to find these suites? Or is there any other way to book these?

Which hotel is this for? I am a bit confused by what you are asking. I have heard of things not showing because they are either overbooked or sorting out cancelations so they remove availability for a while.
