What are people's thoughts on staying at the Sahara? They went through several different owners and at one point they were managed by W hotels. The rooms were redone when SLS owned them so I would imagine the rooms are nice. The Sahara is out of the way though being on the North side of the las vegas strip. IDK what do you guys think?
It isn't in the best location for me, personally. I tend to stick to the same casinos and restaurants when I go so this is not a place I ever considered staying at. My brother loves it though. Both times he went to Vegas, he stayed in the Sahara. They have great deals on rooms throughout the year.
I have only stayed here once and I had good experiences. This was back in 2015 however so I am not sure how things stack up now. You should probably look at recent reviews to get an idea.
I find the wifi to be hit or miss so if you rely on that for any reason, go with another hotel. It is not stable. As for the staff, they seem to ALWAYS be short-staffed, even prior to covid so I can't imagine it now. I think it is fine for a short stay but I would not stay there for more than 2 nights.
