Airline prices were up for the 4th of July. I am thinking about visiting to see the fireworks, etc. Has anyone ever stayed off the strip during the 4th of July weekend? I heard that ubers were difficult to get. I was considering Palace Station or Rio.
I have never been there around this holiday to know anything about it. I tend to avoid travel in June, July, and August since most places are at their most expensive. I did find some information for you that might be useful:

I don't like going during holidays, as they always are packed to the brim with people. July 4th is especially big due to the fireworks. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see what Vegas has to offer for the 4th, but it's just too much of a sensory overload for me.
Yeah it will for sure be packed. Anytime during the holidays and in Vegas, you're bound to find it being a bit crowded.
The firework show should be good though
The three holidays that seem to always attract crowds to Las Vegas are Memorial Day, New Years Eve, and the 4th of July. Hotel prices always scale up on those dates
